hello ...
my name is Talula, and I'm an artist (sculptor, painter, photographer, film-maker)

about me:
26 years old, collector of stones and dead insects. strongly connected to dreams. antique shop rabbit.

about my artwork:
I work in a variety of mediums. My work has included: mask-making, self-portrait photography, insect paintings, paper mache sculptures, miniature rooms, abandoned house photography, poetry, bookbinding, and short films...
I seek to express the hidden, repressed aspects of the self - the darkness we are taught to deny. My work centers on the workings of the subconscious and the effects of trauma on identity, expression, and self-perception.
I am currently working on another collection of miniature insect paintings (you can view the original set here)...
