Armed with my technical docs, I have attacked the truck with Knowledge and the power of carefully directed violence!

Good news:

• I have found what I believe to be the root cause
• Today is payday
• Joint pain is minimal so far

Bad news:

• It's the variable geometry turbo nozzle mechanism
• It's seized solid
• I'm going to have to remove and/or disassemble the turbo to fix it
• Every time I remove a part from these trucks, I break at least one bolt/stud in the process
• I snapped my T40 torx bit trying to remove the actuator bracket from the side of the exhaust housing
