I gotta tell ya, working adjacent to the scrap metal & waste disposal industries will drive ya crazy if you let it.
Dread to think what a box of those long threaded inserts would cost (and, y'know, all the production time and energy and material to make them in the first place), and here we are with some company filling a skip with them and sending them to scrap.
(And this is only the tip of my ranting about the mind-bogglingly wasteful shit I see on the regular; and apparently I'm the weird one for not just shrugging it off because every company along the whole stupid chain got paid so obviously that makes it okay)
