Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

Cat of many shapes. Usually fat.
Gender: Fucked.

As old as the Web.

I am going to ramble about so much garbage.

Some of it will be mechanical, some of it electronic, some of it will be software, and most of it will be of little interest to anyone; but here it is all the same.

This should be a given but- I do a lot of combat flight simming, my autistic special interest is cold war equipment, but I need y'all to sit down and understand that the most important lesson I can impart is not to worship the military, the military-industrial complex, and least of all fucking defense contractors. The real-world machine that feeds warfare is a fucking monstrosity that turns human lives into tragedies, warfare is primarily a means by which the rich and the powerful soothe their egos by annihilating the lives and bodies of the poor. There is nothing noble in its pursuit, nothing heroic in its prosecution, and it is the worst impulse of the human character. Don't get pulled into the empty-headed game of going "rah rah go team!" for one set of cataclysm architects over the other just because they fly a flag you like or use gear you're obsessed with. Have a brain.

Jets are rad. War is fucking bad.

@lupi

yeah like, same here as a space nut whose thing is strongly attached to defense contractors

they may make [thing we like] but they are bad. at least sometimes they're laughably bad (ask moo about the EELV program and how the two contractors tapped for it fucked up so badly that the government stepped in and forced them into a get along shirt), but even then, my fascination with that is one of "holy shit there is not enough scorn in the world for these companies" like not only are they deathdealers but they fucking suck lmao

i like to point and laugh at the military industrial complex but that does not mean i like the military industrial complex
