I feel like there are three levels to understanding technology:
Level 1: “It’s stupid that this thing won’t do X!”
Level 2: “It’s actually not stupid. If it did X, then Y would happen, and trust me, you do NOT want Y to happen!”
Level 3: “It’s actually incredibly stupid that this thing won’t do X. And if Y happens when you do X, then you are doing X EXTREMELY WRONG.”
