The best bit about the holiday season: screwing my work-oriented sleep schedule all to hell, so I can be awake when my brain works, and all my friends are active.
The worst bit about the holiday season: screwing my work-oriented sleep schedule all to hell, and having to crash-realign it by 12 or so hours just before I have to go back to work.
Current schedule: waking at 3am (entirely naturally, no alarm clock), dragging myself out of bed at 5 to plunk myself in front of the computer (where all my friends are), leaving for work at 7.45 (so I can stop in at McDerps on the way for breakfast), getting to work early (....this happened maybe three times total, all of last year, and always by accident), and being full of enough energy to be a reasonably functional human bean.
The downside is I am ready to pass out by the time my work day is over, at 17.30. However, this is working out quite nicely so far!
With the very slight downside of colossally pissing off my father who is determined that dinner time must occurr between 17.30 and 18.30 and anything else is a moral failing.
