Somebody posted a video of some new ff16 gameplay and it reminded how unsold i am on the game just from Yoshi-P's "there were no coloreds in Medieval EU stance. it reminded me of how a wrote a long paper about how Kingdom Hearts had some unsettling racial undertones that i didnt fully call Nomura a KKK enthuaiast, but that constantly havong a black man as your main villain in a series about light and dark revealed some not great views and ideas on race, unconscious as they might be. It's interesting to know that these sub surface views on race arent exclusive to the KH team.
