Honest question: what's so bad about exposing your routing info to people who might hold a grudge? I mean, sure, they could do rDNS and make a pretty good guess at what telco I buy my internet from and what geographic region I'm from, but you also could probably guess that from my posting hours and the fact U.S. telcos are local monopolies, sooo.... What's left? They spend money trying DDoS my house? They send whiny email to my local telecom monopoly complaining that I'm bad (heck, telcos barely bother to do anything for the DMCA goons, much less some rando)?
Also if you self host you're responsible for your security. Who knows when the next braindead easy 0day like log4j lands, and not everyone has the time to monitor for this and patch their systems around the clock.
