
that would be fun. Hmmm, maybe hitting could give you back health but only after the 3rd hit in a combo, so you would want to hit as quickly as possible. The higher to combo-counter, the more heal you could get. Maybe you could even steal your enemies combo-counter by parrying them, so you would want to quickly interrupt whatever they are doing?
Stealing the combo counter is genius! I was thinking about a “perfect parry” system that activates if you hit the same input that your opponent did, so it would be both an effective combo-breaker (or stealer) and a way to disincentivize repeating the same strings over and over.
