Damn they got me with the yaoi bait again. I slept OK, but I still didn't sleep the longest because I've been going to bed late. It's kind of unavoidable for now. Hopefully I can switch that up today. Since I can feel my hormone levels drop, I gotta be proactive about taking care of myself or otherwise it kinda gets out of hand.

This show has gone really off the rails in a good way, since it introduced outright sci-fi/fantasy material. All the resurrections are getting a bit silly, but you know, it's comics. Jim Gordon started doing the batman voice midway through last season and now he exclusively speaks in Bale's Batman Voice. This guy writes books about how crypto is a scam now, by the way.
They have absolutely NO IDEA what to do with Barbara Keen except have her simultaneously be a disaster lesbian and crazy possessive ex-girlfriend to Jim Gordon. Honestly, the way the show portrays her might as well be written by a divorced Jim. It only cares about how hot she is and how crazy she is. This is unexpected since she's canonically supposed to end up being Batgirl's mother, but maybe the show is so off the rails at this point that it really doesn't care to conform to mainline canon. But honestly all I'm getting right now is that they want to have a softcore BDSM lesbian mainly for titillation purposes, and writing her is kind of an afterthought.
The rest of the show makes as much or less sense, so, I don't know. I liked their Joker because he seemed to have both a Mark Hamill impression and a Heath Ledger one that he would alternate, which is pretty cool. I'm pretty into the Butch character, he's legitimately a good original character. Good for them.
I'm about finish season 2. I hope the next villain isn't as insipid as Azrael!
