too bad for argentina. i will say that if you follow latam politics for the past decade, there’s been a really strong tendency to vote against the incumbent or incumbent-adjacent candidate in presidential elections. imo this is because under the neoliberal order no politician can ever satisfy the actual demands of their electorate, so the electorate is always flailing between options trying to find something that will work. it’s the ol’ heads i win, tails you lose trick.
