this manga really said ACAB, and i think it’s trying to say “profit is theft” when it says taxes are theft? the exact model of government isn’t exactly explained and under feudalism this would make sense, but we don’t get the sense that the “commoners” are serfs, really. anyway, the major players seem to be the clergy, nobility and commoners which implies a late 1700 / cusp of industrialization kind of society, but the church seems to be rising in power and the crown is trying to introduce some meritocratic reforms? I don’t know that any one period in history matches that exactly but im gonna pin it on a mid 1800s Russian Empire / Decembrist revolt type beat.
Last night I got around to watching Tar.
- She sucks! She’s a lesboab! She’s unhinged! Wish she sucked less.
- The movie kinda felt like a trial run for a prestige TV series where instead of the main guy being a piece of shit white man, the main guy is a piece of shit white lesbian.
- It also reminded me of Miss Sloane (2016) but less sloppy.
- Eurodramas are ALWAYS doing the “is it ghosts? maybe they’re crazy! but it could definitely be ghosts” thing and now i’m just digesting it as “implied background christian radiation”.
- Really enjoyed how shitty everyone was, especially the evil grandma.
- I also loved how you could feel the gradual increasing dissociation in the editing. That’s neat!
- Why is the Scott Pilgrim anime taking so long to come out? They said it was “imminent” in march…
im in the statechart rabbit hole right now and i kinda want to try implementing the state chart XML spec in godot? there’s a couple of already existing plugins that do this but i would probably learn something doing it myself.
lately i kinda hate trees. i want rhizomes…
