I'm going to introduce everyone to a hidden truth: a sodium vapor lamp and a mercury UVC lamp are the same thing with different elements in the plasma. Both contain an electric arc. We are all arguing over which set of spectral lines we prefer
i prefer orange spectral lines that don't burn my eyes and make me feel cozy
that would be really cool i hope it's not one that would burn your eyes
I don't think they are available as normal lamps
But there are copper vapour lasers that can be used to produce a green beam. They run crazy hot (even at 1700 C the vapour pressure of copper is only like 0.005 mbar), but can be fairly high power
