i ate a piece of sushi my roommate brought home last night (it's pretty good!) and took a swig of dr pepper afterwards. it mixed to make a taste that tasted Exactly Like a freshly-mowed lawn. which uh. i don't want in my mouth

Sliced bosc pears, quick-pickled in salted/sugared apple cider vinegar with shallots and saffron threads in it... somehow have a flavor reminiscent of swimming pool chlorine
