Hey there all! Another Lumatone vid for y'all; we're back in 31-EDO, focusing on the sounds you get from dividing the 31-EDO perfect fourth (13 steps, 503.2 cents) into two unequal halves (6 and 7 steps, 232.3 and 271.0 cents respectively).

Just uploaded another Lumatone vid using the JI 13-Limit 41-UDO mapping; I really like how this layout allows for comparing/contrasting similar-sounding chords and riffs separated by only a comma. (A 41-EDO comma would be 29.27 cents, but in this layout the intervals are a bit unevenly spaced to allow for a wider variety of "perfect" integer ratio intervals.)

New Lumatone vid, this time with the sound actually directly recorded rather than outputted through 20-year-old computer speakers and re-recorded with a cell phone microphone so ideally the quality should be a bit better lmao

Tuning in this one is 31-EDO like the last vid. Starts out a bit on the tame side but halfway through I start throwing in a few uhhh... let's call them "diminished thirds" or "a perfect fifth divided into three equal sections" or "whatever interval six 31-EDO dieses is". (The thing with microtonal/xenharmonic music theory is that there's no real consensus on what to call anything and a LOT of people have come up with their own labels for intervals and scales and stuff, most of which are completely mindboggling to me.)
