I find myself wanting to work on a non-portfolio site, but must design one first and am not sure what I want to use to do it.
I used Sketch for my current (~6 year old) portfolio site, but they use a subscription model now. Due to easy distractability, wanting to do many hobbies (and therefore end up doing none of them), and worries about messing up, I hesitate to spend any cash on it. Sketch is pretty well developed though. Not sure if I should give Figma another shot, or just use good old photoshop or illustrator (the latter is probably better for basic prototyping since it's all vector, also I forget if PS has artboards yet). Or, just spend the money because it could be a lot more.
Also we moved my site from dreamhost to linode, so if I don't have something to work on, I'll forget how to log into the thing again.
