yep, crouch training where you scuttle under a log or a fallen beam or whatever is so standard it barely registers. and then there is never a case where you do that later in the game again. but crouch exists so you feel obligated to perfunctorily train it. it's highly likely that i've shipped a game that does this and have simply forgotten.

it's different in games like Overgrowth and Fortnite, where the AI and players are listening for footsteps, and crouch walking supresses these, so you can sneak around. you can also avoid fire. and you generally have a better recoil when using weapons. All things you have to figure out instead of the game going "hey...this is a thing". I think a training level where you have a situation where this is used would add more stuff for the player to use, but typically it's a log because...well...logs are eazy
