Word was that certain cartridges had a screen that would tell you that you won whatever prize was part of the contest associated with Vectorman, and that screen showed up only after beating the game. That got me thinking, does that mean that cartridge has a distinct ROM? Or did all cartridges use the same ROM and maybe there was some other programming nonsense in the ROM that would trigger the contest win screen? I don't recall ever hearing about or seeing a distinct ROM dump of a winning cartridge.

That's a good point. I would guess there's a separate ROM, but yeah, I don't know of one being dumped...
