saw this in a video about miniscribe - this is the earliest WTF I've ever seen. I was pretty sure it was a late-90s internet invention, but it shows up in the jargon file (ugh) by 1991, and it's obviously here already in 87. I'm not sure how to search for earlier appearances; "WTF" turns up 22,000 results with a fulltext search on internet archive, etc.
notably, I can't find the primary source on this; it's possible it is not genuine.
