How long would you personally wait for a pre-order past it's promised ship date? Weeks, months? Maybe an indefinite period of time, assuming the creator has been forthcoming and consistent with communication about the delays and what has been going on behind the scenes.
For me, it turns out that time limit is about 11 months of a frustrating rollercoaster that I've recorded below the break.

The direct interactions or reports from Fixel? No, I don't like joining Discords willy-nilly so I never joined this one; this is all new to me. But ordering it about a year ago, getting a shipping label June 2023 that was "USPS awaiting item" that never progressed (and eventually dropped off my Informed Delivery list for age), that definitely happened to me.
I haven't pursued a refund yet, for better or worse; half-tempted to not do so just to see where that gets me. I'm not hurting for cash, really. But I admit, I have had the sense that I got scammed - which, weirdly enough, is a very rare event in the case of "new hardware for old computers"? Like the ArGUS, got the bare PCB w/ Interwave chip pre-soldered. Orpheus II, got it without any fuss. PicoGUS, got it nice and quick. 3-for-4 isn't too bad for this, I guess?
