i'm not much of a graphic designer, but i thought it'd be neat to workshop an idea for a poketherian symbol of some kind! it's not super fancy, but i think it gets the idea across ^^

i'm also still thinking about other ways to do the symbol - as much as i love the iconography of the pokeball, it's also a man-made object and a bit human-centric, so it'd be interesting to find something that's a little more oriented towards pokemon themselves instead!

That being how to make a Pokémon therian symbol that doesn't incorporate the manmade Poké Ball. I thought maybe the Arceus symbol might be a good substitute, so I threw this together quickly to see if it might work. I think it's a little too visually busy compared to the first symbol, but it was still fun to try and incorporate the two into a single design!

EDIT: Added those lil gem hole thingies on the ring spikes, I think it's a lot more obvious what it's supposed to be now :P

With how the pokeball symbol is used in the Explorers PMD games for their exploration team badges, I've always felt like the pokeball design was somehow inherently linked to pokemon as something even they'd create in their own, non-human society to represent themselves.

Though technically it's unclear exactly how humans exist in that world and if they might have invented pokeballs long in the past before disappearing and that's where the symbol comes from but that's getting a little too deep into the weeds.
