this feels like it's meant to be viewed in a VR headset as the non lethal option for capital punishment

parody? this seems less bad than a lot of other modern web design i’ve seen, simply on account of actual information being presented to the reader. it’s pathetic i have to say this but i’d even go so far as to call it good by comparison. still awful compared to anything you’d get from the mid 2000s though

i found it maximalist and jarring and frustrated by being locked into a video viewport for the initial sequence (and 70mb of network assets)

I think mainly i dont like the trend of a website loading with the entire screen a moving background and needing to scroll to get to any initial content beyond the fullscreen video header/commercial

although yeah it could def be worse! just found the video sequence dizzying

oh im not disagreeing, the animation is eye strain central. my main observation was that the website, after bombarding you, actually contains at least some real, usable information. something that most websites of this type most definitely don’t. there are many, many things with modern website trends that i really don’t like, this, flat colour corporate minimalism, and the comically large page sizes, with equally poor performance have got to be the top ones though. all of which are present here…

it absolutely scrolljacks you, but only for the first maybe 5ish seconds of the sequence. once you have been barraged enough to let the lower portions of hell load, it permits you to proceed
