Bring a little treat of your own creation to the table for other eggbugs to enjoy. Fall back on your comfort game, or try out a new engine as a learning experience (I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials somewhere online). And if you pick a lesser-known game, no worries! Maybe you can tempt someone to try it out!

Is the 1-minute playtime limit a hard rule? That seems excessively short for anything that's not, like, N++ or something.

Are teams permitted?

It's a soft-ish limit (it's fine if it's like 2 or 3 minutes) and is intended to be newbie friendly and time friendly for both creators and players. A similar thing was done with a Quake map jam recently, Quoffee I think: just tons of little maps and it worked out well, so we will see how it goes here.

Don't forget you can submit more than one entry!

ho ho ho, i'll try to go for this. i've been blocking out the beginning of a d3 map but haven't made it past a few rooms. wrapping those up into a neat little package sounds hella fun as a first actual map release!

I'm going to try and get something in since summer vacation is coming up in a week. Assuming I don't get stuck in the indefinite paralysis of choosing an engine and tooling.

So the goal is to make a map/level for a pre-existing game? Might be fun to make puzzles in something, but that's almost certainly not 1 minute.

Dunno how closely I'll stick to theme or time or whatnot, but I think this'll at least make a good excuse for me to learn the rhythm doctor level editor like i've been considering doing, even if it ultimately isn't something I can submit :P
