there are one thousand nine hundred and eighty of god's own pixels spanning the width of the window. you can afford to spend more than five of them on the fucking scroll bar.
in general i'm sick of people thinking scroll bars are some optional part of interface design instead of a critically-useful tool for positioning and navigating documents, and if you think the scroll bar is just an annoying little gray thing that should be shoved out of the way and hidden, this is a very personal "fuck you".
