A small handful of the CD-ROM games in Golfshrine do not have their original cases. Given that I have access to a color laser printer and quite a lot of time on my hands, I decided it was time to remedy this by designing a case art template. My goal was to evoke those silly-looking placeholder inserts that GameStop used for a decade or so (the ones covered in characters that look like knock-off Gorillaz, or the cast of The Nut Shack, or something).
In so doing, I learned that Krita has no Print button. At least exporting the image to PNG and printing that worked alright, but come on. Also the top solution to "how do I print in Krita?" was, and I paraphrase only slightly, "it shouldn't be that hard to generate a basic print of an RGB document, I use Scribus for that on Linux." The kind of helpful solution that namedrops another program without actually explaining how it is used, y'know. Just helpful open-source software support stuff.
Forgive me my ranting. Photoshop would have just worked. 🤷
