Okay so, you know me, I'm the guy that likes the m68k architecture. I find it to be quite well done in that it is powerful yet allows for assembly code to be very readable, making it a powerful tool in teaching people about low level programming. But NXP are insane and killed it off in favor of ARM-based offerings, and if you want something with more grunt than the Z80 or 6502 that is both available and not batshit insane¹, then what really is there?
