this might be a long shot but does anybody have a text on the theory of ritual as a social practice that they really enjoy or find productive?

The Dawn of Everything by Graeber and Wengrow isn't primarily about this but it does feature a fair bit of discussion and references on the subject in their discussion of West Coast Indigenous cultures.
