Today I learned that the word business comes from the Old English word bisignis which means "a state of care or anxiety, a preoccupation." Also, the word busy comes from bisig and we kept that i pronunciation for busy despite it shifting to a u spelling for unknown reasons in the 15th century. I just realized we pronounce busy weirdly. My brain hurts
