A critter on the internet

Avatar by Sol

A techie critter and casual streamer in their mid-twenties with interests in webhosting. Known for running web servers on things that shouldn't run web servers, turning others into similar looking blue raccoons, and being a little bit bigger than average.

I post non-lewd kink, but make best efforts to tag it 18+. This might not always happen, however (especially if it's only adjacent to it.) Please only follow if you are 18+.

Additionally, please put something in your profile before following me. I probably won’t block over it or anything, but I get a little anxious when I’m followed by an empty account.

Now i just use Tab Wrangler. It’s a must have if you’re like me

In case that’s useful for anyone. I use those settings:

  • Close inactive tabs after 1440 minutes
  • Auto-close tabs if you have more than 20 tabs open
  • Remember up to 1000 closed tabs

I start panicking when I have more than 20 tabs because it usually means I’m in A Rabbit Hole and I can’t wait to get out of it to close everything.

When I need “long term storage” for a link it either goes to my bookmarks or Raindrop.io.

From what I've experienced, there's two kinds of people and next to no in-between:

  • Keeps a few tabs open, maybe a little more if they're feeling spicy. Frequently closes old tabs. Is horrified by the other kind of person.
  • Their tabs are in the hundreds, maybe even thousands, each one taking up a few pixels on their screen at most. Some of the tabs have not seen daylight in eons, but nevertheless have some level of importance that have kept them there. Closing all the tabs is like burning down the Library of Alexandria.

One of my friends invented the "millirakiru" to describe how many tabs they had open in terms of my awful hoarding/forgetting/putting-off habits. Last check I had like 4,500 until frustration finally kicked in and I spent hours closing like a third of them - after bookmarking them all, just in case... T_T
