finished The Monster Baru Cormorant. great book, really excited to read Tyrant, but im going to need six months to a year of recovery reading somewhat lighter material before i dive back in.

I read monster right before covid hit, and uh... Tyrant is still on the tbr pile lol. And now I feel like I need to go back and reread the first two before I dig in
you could probably get away with just rereading Monster, not that Traitor isn't really good but the beginning of Monster does imo a really good job at summarizing the events of Traitor right at the head. (and for all i know Tyrant is the same way about both of the ones that came before)
