i think a crucial part of the paris backstory is like, yeah tumblr was my first social media, but also, i wasn't on tumblr until i was nineteen. i got to have almost all my teenagerdom lurking this or that forum or fucking around on newgrounds or tvtropes or reading webcomics instead of being social (although i did join the MSPA Forums when i was like 17, so kind of a sub-social media experience). i think im a very different person today if i had had to spend my teens on twitter or tumblr or what have you like a lot of people younger than me (or even my age or older) seem to have done
