if you hate twitter, Bluesky is a nice place

but thats starting at 0 yet again

Despite my fears of it being shitty and likely devolving into current twitter shitty levels later on, I got a bluesky yesterday to keep up with friends heading there. I haven't had much of a chance to check it out yet, but in a pre-cohost world I would've been impressed with the features.

Found a right wing propaganda block list on there that can be subscribed to, and when the maintainer adds new accounts to it they'll automatically be blocked for subscribers https://bsky.app/profile/ironspike.bsky.social/post/3l3duh2yfpk2l which makes me feel slightly less apprehensive (like 4% less, but still).

This isn't a recommendation but just a tiny data point to consider in the future. I'll also be here until the lights are turned off 😔❤️
