
The poet they probably shouldn’t have sent. I watch anime and am sometimes accused of reading books. I'm writing a long gay giant robot story in verse—probably this millennium's best yuri mecha epic poem, through lack of competition.

I have not! It’s slightly late, and I’m hesitant about poetry in translation… but I should get round to trying it!
I don't really have a broad knowledge of epic poetry (I've read Dante and Virgil and that's about it) but I can vouch that Orlando Furioso is a huge amount of fun. The title character has diamond hard skin that deflects bullets! Why are there bullets in this chivalric romance, you ask? Because one of the villains invented guns 300 years early!
