Finished the HG Char custom Zaku II.
Apart from my back-up kit, this clears my gunpla backlog. But I might be going shopping on Saturday…
The poet they probably shouldn’t have sent. I watch anime and am sometimes accused of reading books. I'm writing a long gay giant robot story in verse—probably this millennium's best yuri mecha epic poem, through lack of competition.

This is the only gunpla I have assembled and assembled with cursing anger to boot. Would you recommend a different grade for the sake of my poor fingers/shaky hands or should I just expect it only gets better with practice?
Assuming this was definitely the same kit—there're a lot of different HG Char's Zaku II kits, and this is the 2020 version—it didn't strike me as unusually complex for a HG. As an example of a more challenging HG, I'd point to something like the HG Zeta, which is built strangely to enable the transformation, and which involves many more stickers.
So, if you did find this kit really tough, then maybe it'd be worth looking at Entry Grade kits, yeah. Or, at least, if you build another HG, worth taking it very slowly. I'm sure some aspects get easier with practice, but I don't remember my first HG kit being markedly rougher than this.
