it's good that we're all familiar with the "return to tradition" type of fascist thought, particularly in the way they discuss aesthetics and classical european design—but i think it's led to the conflation of modernist architecture with leftism, which is very silly at best

I think a similar caution applies to the too-easy linkages sometimes made between aesthetic traditions and political tendencies in other mediums too.

I just played Season: A Letter to the Future after watching Jacob Geller's video essay "Art in the Pre-Apocalypse" and am reminded of the Grey Hands in that game. I have to believe that they took a lot of pages out of the Italian Futurists manifesto.
