The poet they probably shouldn’t have sent. I watch anime and am sometimes accused of reading books. I'm writing a long gay giant robot story in verse—probably this millennium's best yuri mecha epic poem, through lack of competition.

'Now praise those names on tombs of steel engraved | And toll this rotting country’s countless bells.'

i have to talk more about this guy. this dude came in with the biggest laptop i have ever seen in my entire life. he described his game as being "like slay the spire." when asked why he was using powerpoint he explained in detail the benefits he saw of powerpoint as a programming environment and compared it to other game engines as though powerpoint was just another game engine. i have no idea how he plans to distribute a game he made in powerpoint. he was writing some kind of code in an editor with absolutely no syntax highlighting. my brain was exploding the entire time he was talking about this

I just remembered this guy in 2016 who was making a Five Nights at Freddy fan game in PowerPoint that unleashed weeks of pointless arguing in the old Latin American Game Dev Facebook group.

He kept posting updates of his project and people kept piling on him for sticking to his wild "engine" of choice. Moderators had to balance shutting down the haters and encouraging the newbie's passion, while also recovering themselves from the sheer audacity of the guy.

i took a ~multimedia design~ class in middle school and we used a bunch of different programs to do projects (like Lego robot stuff, or making a pinball machine in a physics simulator)

and one of the projects was to make a game in powerpoint. mine... i honestly don't remember what mine was lol, but someone made pokemon using a bunch of screenshots and links to other slides to progress through menus or use moves and stuff

sounds like this guy is doing Way more though
