The poet they probably shouldn’t have sent. I watch anime and am sometimes accused of reading books. I'm writing a long gay giant robot story in verse—probably this millennium's best yuri mecha epic poem, through lack of competition.
'Now praise those names on tombs of steel engraved | And toll this rotting country’s countless bells.'
(it's been a while!)
Those are good inks picks! Robert Oster Claret is an interesting color. I either favour a more dusky purple (Rohrer & Kligner Scabiosa, which is as nice as it has a good price) or deep reds (Wearingeul "Human Issue")
Oh, thank you for the tips! (And I hope you're doing well!) I'll have to look at these—though I'm a bit scared of iron gall inks in the present-day…
Oh, I am doing as fine as you can do nowadays. After leaving twitter I did not felt like posting anywhere, but I am finding cohost a bit comfortable, so here I am not.
I've never had problems with Scabiosa, but I've also never used it in anything more expensive than a TWSBI pen. I've been a bit more daring with inks with pigment that I use for drawing (more specifically the Sketchink series by Rohrer & Kligner) and they too have worked fine. But for something really fancy yeah, I would be more cautious.
Glad to hear you're doing alright! The fountain pens I have are mostly more expensive ones that I've been given, so I should probably get one or two expendable pens with which to try things out.
