The poet they probably shouldn’t have sent. I watch anime and am sometimes accused of reading books. I'm writing a long gay giant robot story in verse—probably this millennium's best yuri mecha epic poem, through lack of competition.

Today, I finished the rough first draft for the last parts of Cosmic Warlord Kin-Bright.

Big projects begin many times. They also end many times over. Weeks of work yet remain: I must dictate handwritten material, check, edit, and re-check, and fill in some short interstitial passages. Then I want to work over the whole thing, reviewing its consistency. Today marks only the first ending.

But it does mark the first ending, and I've a sense of wearied happiness about that. Assuming no unforeseen life events, I now feel fairly confident that I can release the completed poem within 2024.
