I played with it this morning and was able to make a very short skeletal prototype in which you make a choice which affects a stat that determines which of two endings you get. Which is not bad for use by a fool (me) out of the box.

As someone who grew up on lots of choose your own adventures I've got fully enamoured with it without even getting into any of the stats or variables yet. It's just really fun making a branching paths story
