The poet they probably shouldn’t have sent. I watch anime and am sometimes accused of reading books. I'm writing a long gay giant robot story in verse—probably this millennium's best yuri mecha epic poem, through lack of competition.

'Now praise those names on tombs of steel engraved | And toll this rotting country’s countless bells.'

@Nestle asked:

best outfit in gwitch?

hmm i feel like the outfits didn't really stand out to me that much in this show – at least not in the way that i could think of an immediate, obvious answer!

going off the top of my head and just vibes™, i'll say Chuchus sweater is really up there though!

Piggybacking unsolicited on this to remark that I agree that G-Witch didn’t have many individual stand-out outfits, but I think one could make a case that the Asticassia school uniform is a bit of a design coup.

The Asticassia uniform is universal and fairly practical for space, and has various nice touches like the zip-handle tie.

It’s also rather dowdy and shapeless in its basic form, with the result that, even in Holder colours, the way Suletta wears the uniform makes her seem what she is: socially-awkward, unfashionable (remember the hairband remark in episode 1), in some ways naïve.

The uniform works well because we see how many of the other characters escape that basic dowdiness, whether by adding to the uniform, adjusting its elements, or threatening to burst out of it (hi Secelia). This variety’s really pleasing and engaging! But of course it comes from the uniform precisely not being a great outfit.
