
The poet they probably shouldn’t have sent. I watch anime and am sometimes accused of reading books. I'm writing a long gay giant robot story in verse—probably this millennium's best yuri mecha epic poem, through lack of competition.

Would anyone be interested in a regular (quarterly? bi-monthly?) gunpla/plamo build challenge? Not so much a competition but more of a book club of sorts. Just something to see multiple takes on a theme, see what each person can do with their skill and effort. The community here seems like the perfect size to have decent reach for everyone to show off
At speed they upward pressed. And soon the worn
and rusted elevator cage they found.
Securing cage with gate erosion-torn,
their flight in haste they cast on work unsound
of cogs in dirt of many years engowned—
but though the gears protested long and loud,
they faithful lifted pair through thinning cloud.
hic opus, hic labor est. I make no apologies for the outrageousness of engowned, long since having entered a state of formal sin in which no further excesses could worsen matters.
