my favorite part of this is the discovery that by the time someone thought to make an animated film, "guy being frustrated that the person in front of him at the movie theater is wearing a big hat" was already a common enough experience that it could be visually shorthanded
All conflict in animation eventually comes down to the struggle of a man trying to get by and the fellow with the obnoxiously large hat that stands in his way.
