So it turns out I had backed up my old copy of Dirty Computer to a usb stick that I then backed up to my old laptop main hard drive. I managed to find it, and I am at least able to load it into adlib tracker and winamp/wacup.
If only any tracker other than at2 loaded a2m files, because that is such a frustrating program to use in a native windows environment.
