Uninstalled WACUP and went back to vanilla winamp. It's the only one whose media library and playilst is remotely capable of dealing with the vgmstream subsong plugin for stuff like acb/awb files. I won't reinstall WACUP until they figure out a way to get new builds of vgmstream working, because the one they seem to use is horrifically out of date.

I probably should use fb2k at some point, but I'm not motivated enough to switch my main program for this sort of thing.

I would use XMPlay but it has two big strikes against it, first that the library view is awful and doesn't easily enable selecting entire albums or artists, and the second is that vgmstream subsongs just don't work properly in the playlist. It's a little better for handling MIDI files because you can pair a file with a soundfont its intended for, something Winamp doesn't support and which I'd otherwise think was a horrifically lacking feature.

I thought I posted about this before but I can't find it. Maybe I just never hit enter. Ah well, it's not that important either way.

i still use winamp too, with a big list of game plugins. i identified MusicBee as potentially worth switching to a couple years ago but haven't had the energy, and am not 100% sure about its winamp plugin compatibility yet.
