I also don't believe in valorizing effort for its own sake. I think the relationship between the effort required to use Cohost and the quality of the experience you get out of it is a complicated nuanced topic that doesn't simply boil down to "we're gatekeeping out the lazy people".
I really hate the individualist model of "you only get what you're willing to work for" which is why I wanna teach myself how to write Follow Friday style lists, and other tools that I can offer newcomers to make it easier to get acclimated. (This is a skill actually. It requires learning, and even if it's second nature to you, it's not second nature to everyone.)
