it's so cool that 30% of my game's Steam revenue goes towards the $100,000,000/year maintenance of the CEO's $1,000,000,000 fleet of yachts. I think this is so cool. I really think it's so cool

Do people not remember Team Fortress 2 introducing keys and crates it basically paved the way for all of the bullshit we now deride AAA studios for. I have been angry at this man for a long time.

jesus christ reading this article talking about owning so many of these things like its Remotely Normal feels like reading about an alien casually talk about how cool it is to Sacrifice Beings To The Lost Gods

I used to wonder why on earth some folks need a place with that many rooms..... i just cannot comprehend why someone would want... basically a small floatilla that has all the amenities of large town?

It's such a massive shame that Epic Games seems to be such a shits how, I think itch.io at least takes a very small percentage and maybe GOG takes a bit less I think. Really don't get why any big company thing can't be forced to only be able to take 10% max and then if your a indie game publisher you may be giving away more of your sales to pay for a publisher and the like for your game so your losing a huge chunk of any money you ever make. I would love to see a video made about why so many game launchers and companies seem to either have such a hard time or just so shit at basic UI design and feature for their apps. With all that crazy money they pump into this especially Epic games you think they would pay for a good software and UI design team and provide a superior experience usability and UI wise then the competition and then add the lower dev percentage take and extra sales on top to attract people.

Oh well its for the better that Epic games has less and less indie devs with them since they seemed to go on a firing spree there recently and mostly likely soon again despite fortnite making them insane money and that game and department not really being reduced or moved around at all but heaven forbid they keep a indie game company or team funded that costs them pocket change.

Hopefully itch.io grows more over the years.
