No, they don't. The next few wars we fight will be over the meaning of words themselves. It's already started with Israel's genocide, and whenever the second American civil war breaks out, it's going to be more of a conflict of memes and meanings than anyone actively knows. The separation of words from their meanings is a tool the powerful control in the interest of crushing our hopes and aspirations before we can even begin to realize them. They would define us into helplessness.

All the more reason being 'woke' actually matters, and is vitally important. We can see through the lies, and trust the evidence of our experience, even when words like 'democracy' and 'grassroots action' have been stripped of meaning. Stay awake, stay alert, and remember what has changed. Remember who is responsible.
