love that this is judged so terrible as there are nearly identical corner cases discussed in several other places iirc
probably nobody liked R. Yirmeya to begin with, i bet this was like his only rhetorical move and everyone was sick of it
yeah I strongly suspect this was the final "will you please just give it a rest"
yeah I just looked him up in Sefaria and he is constantly doing this. also found a whole section on the purity implications of various non-human animals birthed by women. gotta love the sages
Christians could never. instead we have theologians as esteemed as St Augustine and Aquinas weighing in on the stupid conundrum of what happens to a baby sired by two cannibals who have only ever eaten humans when christ returns and all human flesh is resurrected.
