if these sons of bitches had said "oooh this looks nasty it's gonna be out for a week" on sunday or monday i would have significantly fewer problems! i have received one of these "it'll be back on tomorrow" texts EVERY DAY SINCE SUNDAY

it's the utter disrespect that gets to me. "we have no idea when your power will be on" would be honest, "we go by population affected and there are eleven thousand people with their power out ahead of you" would provide necessary context; "WE ESTIMATE YOUR POWER WILL BE RESTORED BY [10 P.M.] ON [CURRENTDATE]" for 6 days running shows I'm not even worth a fuck-you.
in the last couple of days their map said 500-something people had their power out in my county, which is about the population of half my town, and we still couldn't get any damn honest updates from them
