i guess i never talked about Burnout 3 either here or on twitter? anyway if you're ever like "i think racing games are boring" you can play Burnout 3 and understand it's the absolute pinnacle of driving a car really really fast and enjoying the spectacle of crashing. it's a rotten shame that Paradise is the only game you can still buy and play on a pc/console in the year of our lord 2024 because we figured it all out with Burnout 3 which is the actual perfect racing/crashing game.
pre-Paradise Burnout is the perfect racing game for anybody who has ever played a NASCAR game and immediately tried to cause the hugest pile-up they could. It's the racing game for people who have ever asked why nobody in Formula One has ever tried a PIT maneuver. It's the game for anybody in your life who has ever actively rooted for Dick Dastardly on Wacky Races. It's the game for anybody who has ever heard those cherry-bombing tuner cars zip down the road at midnight and thought, "man, I'd love to see one of them get shoved into an oncoming tanker truck."

There are two games I've played on Xenia: Sonic Unleashed and Burnout: Revenge. Both games allow you to plow with nitrous power into Italian cafés. This is not a coincidence, other than an egregious lack of pc ports
